Answer
Normally, the SAP system will by default display the latest BOM.
Therefore, if you have created a few BOM for the same material, you need input this:
Alternative BOM 1 (for example if your latest BOM is 3)
Valid From ! (exclamation mark)
Hit Enter again if this warning message appear:
No items are valid on 01.01.1900
Message no. 29064
Notes:
In cases where you cannot display the older alternative BOM, you can use table MAST to check.
When one of the user ask me why this material cannot display the alternative BOM 1, I managed to find out that it was actually deleted from table MAST
