Project WIP calculation
EQ Actual Cost
Ticket:
The requirement of our client is that the WIP is to be calculated
such that it is the actual cost till date + a fixed percentage on actual
cost till date. In this case the fixed percentage is 7.5%.
The client also had a different requirement whereby the WIP was =
(Actual Cost/Estimated Cost)*Project Value. This we have been able to achieve
by making the required settings in transaction OKG3.
However, we are unable to get the WIP as actual cost + a percentage
on actual cost. What are the required settings to be done in this case?
Answer:
The config. for WIP calculation can be done through Result Analysis.
Please maintain a different RA key for Cost Plus WIP.
After that define the valuation method for this key (OKG3).
In this make the following settings:
IMG Path -> Project System -> Revenue and Earnings -> Automatic
and Periodic Allocations -> Edit Result and Analysis Keys and Version ->
Define Valuations Methods for Result Analysis

This will take care of the COST plus billing as per your requirement.
