How To Transfer Stock To Storage Bin

How to transfer the existing stock to particular storage BIN of respective storage location?

We are going to assume that the requirement is to move the material lying in storage location to its particular bin. As the ware house management is already active, the half of the things are done.

Here you need to create the manual transfer order. Now the stock must be lying in the interim storage bin. From there you need to move it to some particular bin. Then in the transfer order interim bin would be your source and the particular bin you want the material to be placed would be the destination.

You may follow the following step to do it...I hope this guide can helps you.

1) Indentify the interim bin where the material is lying, which would be your source bin for creating the TO ( transfer order)

2) Logistics - Logistics Execution - Inbound Process - Goods Receipt for Purchase Order, Order, Other Transactions - Putaway - Create Transfer Order For Material (T-CODE: LB11)

Fill in the mandatory entries like warehouse number, Material number etc.

OR

Directly LT03 can be used with reference to the delivery

3) Click TO in foreground

4) Click Putaway foreground (F5)

5) Depending upon the putaway strategy the destination bin would be suggested or user need to do the manual entry

6) Save / Post (Ctrl+S), which would give a Transfer Order (TO) number

7) To display the TO created

Logistics - Logistics Execution - Inbound Process - Goods Receipt for Inbound Delivery - Putaway - Display Transfer Order - Single Document (T-CODE: LT21)

The list would show red indicator against the particular TO, which means it is yet to be confirmed.

8) To confirm the TO

Logistics - Logistics Execution - Inbound Process - Goods Receipt for Inbound Delivery - Putaway - Confirm Transfer Order - Single Document - In One Step (T-CODE: LT12)

9) Choose Standard

10) Select the line item and choose Confirm internally

11) Save / Post (Ctrl+S). System issues a message for confirmation of TO

12) To check the correctness of stock in Bin

Logistics - Logistics Execution - Internal Whse Processes - Bins and Stock Display - Single Displays - Storage Bin (T-CODE: LS03N)

14) Enter Ware house number, Storage type and storage bin. This would give the material stock available in that particular

Note:
While executing 4) Click Putaway foreground (F5) - Create TO for TR 0000000025 0001: Prepare for stock removal I am getting error as "System can't find source storage bin"

If you are creating everything manually - you can manually key in the storage type and the bin there. If there are still more errors in this screen, you can go to environment -- > Stor. search log and this will give you the exact details of the error.

Please follow the steps to bring the stock into the bin location.

1) Remove the assignment of plant/storage location/warehouse no

2) Use 562 movement type to remove the stock thru MB1C transaction

3) Reassign the plant / storage location/warehouse combination

4) Upload the stock by using MB1C transaction with 561 movement type

5) Use transaction code LT01 to create the transfer order by using source storage type 998 / bin REPROCESS and system will automatically

search for the destination bin if the configuration and the bin creation is correct

6) Confirm the TO by LT12 transaction ( Hope you have already created the bins for the storage type/section)

If you have transferred to BIN but system still post excess quantity even though you have made check not to allow excess quantity.

You have to define the bin capacity. If it exceeds the capacity, then it will not allow excess.
