| What are SNP planner, Demand planner, Transportation planner and
production planner?
What is live-cache? Answer: APO consists of several "modules" or different types of planning, for example demand planning (DP), supply network planning (SNP), production planning (PP/DS) and transportation planning (TP/VS). When you implement APO you may utilise several of these planning functions in your overall requirements. The different planner codes allow you to segregate the responsibility for the different planning functions to different users or groups of users for the same objects (e.g. products or resources). When you run certain transactions or reports you can then limit the selection to those objects that are the responsibility of that planner. SNP planner, Demand planner, Transportation planner and production planner are codes that can be assigned to the location-product master and then can be used as selection criteria in respective modules. If you have MRP Controller - it is suggested to create the same code in APO as Production Planner before doing CIF transfer of the product from R/3 or ECC. It is part of the admin data for the product master data. The fields on the Administrator tab page are fields that must be released in Customizing before they become available. In Customizing, choose Advanced Planner and Optimizer (APO) ->Master Data -> Maintain Freely-Definable Attributes. You maintain planners in Customizing via Advanced Planner and Optimizer
(APO) -> Supply Chain Planning -> Specify Person Responsible (Planner)
